Next Pittsburgh highlights the April 2014 Vintage Pittsburgh event.

We don’t know if the organizers of Vintage Pittsburgh timed the event to occur one day before the premiere of Mad Men‘s final season (which picks up in January 1969), but this is definitely the best place to score fabulous retro finds for your coffee table, closet, hi-fi or kitchen. The locally produced Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer is again teaming up with the Heinz History Center to present the second annual Vintage Pittsburgh event.

The event’s centerpiece are the more than 30 vendors selling authentic vintage goods–from fashions, collectibles and home décor, to books, small furniture and vinyl records. Vintage Pittsburgh will also feature live music and DJs throughout the day, and a cash bar with cocktails from 10 a.m. to noon. Featured 2014 vendors include: Alicks and Raflin, Audrey’s Era, Daffodil Vintage, East End Book Exchange, Epitome Clothier, Highway Robbery Vintage, J Malls and Mind Cure Records (Pgh Vinyl Con), Kicky Feet Vintage, Lagelle, LeMix, Red Pop Shop, Retro on 8th, Swank Kat’s Psychedelic Relics, and more.

Those who are used to the very early start of area estate sales will want to take advantage of the Vintage Pittsburgh VIP Preview taking place from 9 to 10 a.m., providing first access to vendors, one drink ticket and a gift bag for $15.

Visitors may also check out six floors of exhibition space, including the Center’s new Poptastic! The Art of Burton Morris exhibition. On view through April 27th, the 3,000-square-foot exhibition features 100 works by the Pittsburgh native and internationally recognized contemporary artist, including drawings, paintings, product lines, sculpture and interactive works.

The History Center is offering a special Vintage Pittsburgh discounted admission to all museum visitors on April 12th ($10; $6 for students).

Before hitting Saturday’s fair, swing by Wildcard in Lawrenceville for a special pre-Mixer mixer. Mingle with Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer organizers, vie for raffle goodies from Wildcard, the Heinz History Center and Red Pop Shop, including event passes, and enjoy sounds by DJs Matthew Buchholz and Michael Lutz. Free and open to the public, the pre-party takes place on April 9th from 6 to 9 p.m.
